This course is a step by step study of learning Insight or Vipassana Meditation.
This course is a step by step study of learning Insight or Vipassana Meditation. We start with concentration techniques, then move on to the bramaviharas for calm and compassion (LovingKindness, Compassion, Appreciative Joy and Equanimity). Finally, we come to the two methods of Vipassana. First, the Burmese-originated U Ba Khin method, also known as Goenka which is most popular in the 10-day retreats. Then, the Choiceless Awareness Thailand-originated method, taught frequently in the West with teachers such as Jack Kornfield, Tara Brach, Sharon Salzberg, James Baraz and Joseph Goldstein and my personal preference.
Yoga Teachers: Upon completion of course, you are eligible to register for 7 hours of Yoga Alliance Continuing Education.
