Honesty - ACIM
Module 3 in ACIM Characteristics of God's Teachers Program
This A Course in Miracles inspired program on The Characteristics of God’s Teachers is a comprehensive in learning how to be a Teacher of God by embracing fully the Ten Characteristics of God’s Teachers as defined in the Manual for Teachers. The entire program is one year. Included will be weekly meditations, videos, posts, assignments, and a Practice Circle where our innermost thoughts will be shared. Mentoring via email is available.
As we continue to learn in the Characteristics of God’s Teachers section in the Manual for Teachers of A Course in Miracles, God’s teachers are not at all alike. They may have contrasting personalities, different life experiences, and varied backgrounds. Therefore all are called but few choose to listen. Everyone is needed to fulfill their function.
God does give gifts to the Teachers as they have a special role in the plan for Atonement. All specialness and differences are temporary however, yet they do possess the ten characteristics as described.
Our second characteristic of a Teacher of God is Honesty. When we think about honesty we typically think about our relationships in the world. We want to be told the truth and we want to think that we ourselves are truthful. We vacillate between honesty and dishonesty all the time. We are always ready to point fingers at others who are dishonest. But, remember what Jesus says, “Would I accuse myself of doing this?” Hmmm…We never accept our own truth of what we do ourselves.
Our function is to live from a consistency of thoughts, words and deeds. We live too from an open heart with authenticity, presence, all the while by being courageous at allowing our inner emotions to be what they are as we come to terms with our experience.
We will spend the balance of the year on each characteristic specifically (Trust, Honesty, etc) with support materials from not only ACIM but various authors and exercises.
As you read and study each week's lessons, you will receive:
- weekly guided meditations
- and important guidance thoughts to consider
This in-depth study requires daily dedication to journaling, meditation, specific exercises and other supporting processes.
